Introduction/Objective. Factors such as nature of psychiatric disorder, length hospitalization and oralside effects psychotropic medications may considerably contribute to high prevalence oral diseases among people with schizophrenia, a consequent need for prosthetic rehabilitation. The aim this study was ascertain the health level rehabilitated patients schizophrenia consider their needs future improvement Methods. group comprised 52 hospitalized at Dr Laza Lazarevic Clinic Mental Disorders, Belgrade. control no medical history, treated School Dental Medicine, University indices (Decayed, Missing Filled Teeth Index ? DMFT, Community Periodontal Treatment Needs CPITN, Simplified Oral Hygiene OHI-S), socio-demographic characteristics, smoking habits, hygiene previous dental visits were registered in both groups, well characteristics primary disease patients. Results. Fifty percent had partial mobile dentures, while almost 30% fixed contrast patients, who prevalently dentures.
